Music
Having lived in various countries of Europe and a Persian, French, Scandinavian background Noush brings the magic of the old world into current sounds. On her albums she creates a sound that is larger than life, a sound that will stand the rupture of time.
On the stage Noush exudes a sense of presence that stays with the audience many hours after they left the show. Her songs directly speak to to the audience with her lyrics and move them with their sound.
Noush’s live recordings add even more life to the studio recordings but only captures a glimmer of the live experience. This mix won her two of the most coveted independent music awards in the country.
“National Independent EP of the Year (2007)” at the “Hollywood F.A.M.E. Awards” honored Noush’s studio professionalism. Both her live prowess and studio qualities were awarded with “Alternative Pop Artist of the Year” at the “17th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards” 2007.
Acting
Drawing her musical strength from her unique understanding of human emotions, acting was a natural fit for Noush Skaugen.
Her talent became skill with dramatic and comedic training at the world famous Lee Strasberg Institute. At Ivana Chubbuck Studio, Noush learned the ropes of professional focus on set.
This rigorous training paid off as Noush landed the lead role for a feature film, on her very first audition. The heroine in the multi award-winning thriller The Road to Empire.
Another next first-strike-win was her first audition for a TV show. Noush knocked that one out of the park too with a recurring role on NBC's Passions.
Her acting catalog then just started to grow with TV comedy / improv shows to major hit shows. CSI and Entourage attest that Noush is no fly-by-night newbie at the craft of screen acting and theater.
